FEM SIMULATION: PERFECTION THROUGH PRECISION

Thanks to many years of experience and the latest simulation programs, our engineers are able to combine all requirements into an optimised wheel. Over the years, these requirements for wheels have continued to increase. Due to the electrification of vehicles, noise development (NVH) and increasing the range (aerodynamics) have become important topics. These are optimised during the design phase by means of frequency analysis, determination of the modal mass and flow simulation. Furthermore, optimum material utilisation for sufficient strength is an essential ecological aspect. To this end, we simulate the stress during cornering (bending circulation/BUP), the lateral impact against an obstacle (13° impact), the effect of a pothole (radial impact) and the general service life of a wheel (ZWARP). In addition, the crash simulation is used to define a desired failure point of the wheel in order to minimise the risks during an accident (penetration of the wheel into the vehicle interior).  

CASTING SIMULATION: PRECISION FROM DESIGN TO SERIES PRODUCTION

To save time and resources and ensure a stable process in series production, we subject every new development to a casting simulation. All parameters and the subsequent casting mould are taken into account and optimised in order to achieve the perfect compromise between design, castability, strength and weight. By coordinating with the specialist departments, we minimise potential problems as early as the development phase to ensure a smooth production process.
