YOUR WORK DAY
08:00 a.m.
After clocking in, I go to my office and switch on the computer.
08:15 a.m.
Firstly, I check my emails and missed calls to see if there are any tasks for me to do while I'm away. I can already solve some problems myself. To do this, I call the users and make an appointment or connect directly to their computers.
09:00 a.m.
Have a quick breakfast and a coffee. I talk to my colleagues about what tasks I can take on for the day.
09:30 a.m.
An employee has problems with his PC screen. After the unsuccessful routine tests with a replacement cable and screen, I realise that the problem is with the graphics card. I take the computer back to my office, replace the graphics card and install the necessary drivers on the PC. After setting it up, everything works smoothly again.
12:30 p.m.
Now it's lunch break. I sit down with my colleagues in our break room. We have lunch together and chat.
01:00 p.m.
The next step is to set up a new workstation. I install a computer with the required programmes and bring it to its place with the necessary accessories. Once everything has been connected and all the hardware has been checked for functionality, I go to the sub-distributor and patch the network connection so that access to our network also works.
04:30 p.m.
It's the end of the day. I shut down my computer, clock out and make my way home.
